Sara is a compassionate nurse who devotes the most loving care to her patients. She is a leader among her colleagues, and she strives to assist her co-workers, patients, and families any way she can.

As an LPN, Sara performs very thorough bedside care and works collaboratively with her RN and support service colleagues. Outside of the patient care environment, Sara has taken on the role of co-chair and chair of her unit's practice council for shared governance. She is also currently exploring completing her nurse registry degree studies.

Sara was chosen to be recognized as a DAISY because she treats every patient and family as if they are a unique member of her very own family. On one occasion, Sara cared for a patient with such compassion and integrity that even though her patient's natural course of life was inclusive of great pain and suffering, Sara made it seem like nothing was wrong because she helped her patient and the family focus on the beauty of life celebrated by the individual in their own personal way.

The care she provides for her patients makes it seem as though they are experiencing no physical or mental illness whatsoever. We are proud to have Sara as "our special, passionate healer" on this telemetry unit.
