Even though my Mother was unresponsive, every time Sarah entered the room she talked to her and explained everything she was doing.
My world came apart when my precious Mother fell and broke her hip and suffered a head injury, resulting in a brain bleed. Our first step was the Baptist Hospital in Conway where her diagnosis was made in the emergency room. The care there was fast and efficient and soon she was transported to the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. All of the care we received was excellent, however, there was one individual who stood out above the rest. Her name was Sarah Eubanks, and she attended my Mother after her hip surgery in ICU.

My Mother regained consciousness only for a short time after her surgery. For the next several days we waited to see if she would recover from the brain injury. This is where Sarah's talent and abilities shone so brightly. Even though my Mother was unresponsive, every time Sarah entered the room she talked to her and explained everything she was doing. She monitored my Mother's every move and sound and responded anytime she thought she was in pain. She adjusted her feet or set up a fan. Anything she could think of to support my Mother. When she became concerned the pain medicine might need to be adjusted later, she contacted the doctor ahead of time, just in case, it might be needed. She wanted to be prepared just in case.

I was so impressed by her care. She is a great example of a Nurse whose focus is on her patient and their total care. In addition, Sarah provided support to me and my family who were hurting so badly. She kept us up to date on Mom's condition providing us with updates on her vitals, usually before we even had a chance to ask. She is exceptional. She makes a difference. Please pass our thanks on to her. While my Mother did not survive, Sarah was a blessing to us in a very difficult time and we are so very grateful for her. She helped our Mother and us more than she will ever understand.
