Sarah is the true example of a patient advocate. Sarah has a very warm heart and is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients. Sarah does what it takes to make sure that her patients are receiving the best care possible.
Sarah was caring for a patient who had received a terminal diagnosis and she stayed and prayed with the patient until the family arrived.
Another example is that she brought a failure to thrivepatient a pop and chips because that is all they wanted to eat. She has not only provided excellent care to her patients, but she has been a phenomenal influence on her peers.
Sarah had a patient who was on contact precautions and she taught the patient what needed to be done prior to coming into his room. The patient made sure to remind all staff what Sarah had taught him in an effort to keep everyone safe.
Her willingness to help her peers during challenging times is over and above all of our expectations. She has supported, educated and mentored many of our nurses on 6 Brush. She is the go-to person on days. She is very supportive, calm and a great resource.
