Shanekia is commended for being an "angel" to a patient who was frightened and in a lot of pain.
"Shanekia stayed and talked to me, held my hand and was a firm support. She would not let me give up."
The patient was grateful that Shanekia listened to him, let him vent and helped calm him down during stressful situations.
