I couldn’t celebrate since everything around me was crashing. Shannon came in, listened, and brought peace.
I feel with my entire heart that Shannon Howell is a DAISY Nurse. I delivered my last 2 children here and the entire department is like family to me! But when I delivered my last baby here, I had issues with a short-term disability upon my admission. I had been working to receive my short-term disability for over 5 months but met with rejection. I keep getting hit with hurdle after hurdle of issues with no resolution. So instead of celebrating one of the most joyous times of my life, I was emotionally at rock bottom. They were trying to repossess my car, they had shut off my utilities, and served me with an eviction notice.
When I told Shannon my issues, she immediately went through whom to contact and what information was needed. She was vigilant in the course to cross all the T’s and dot the I’s in the necessary paperwork. She completed the 32 pages of paperwork while giving me the best care for me and my daughter. The day after I delivered, I and my newborn baby girl couldn’t stop crying. How was I going to manage my life? I couldn’t celebrate since everything around me was crashing. Shannon came in, listened, and brought peace. She supersedes what you expect in your care. Before discharge from the hospital, I received notice that I was approved for short-term disability (which I received a check 2 weeks later) for $14,000. She literally saved everything!
