Demonstrating Kindness and Compassion to Patients and Families: Sharmila is always greeting patients and their family members with a smile. Sharmila is a nurse who I would love to take care of me if I was sick. Working with sick people is a gift and not everyone is made to be a nurse, but when you can see the love and care of Sharmila you know that she is working in her gift. The patients love her - not only does she give them good care; she always makes them smile and encourages them to take care of themselves and feel better.
Providing Skills Care to Patients and Families: Sharmila performs her job in a timely manner and explains to patients what she is doing and the reason why she is doing it.
Informing and Educating Patients and Families: Sharmila educates her patients with handouts and explains to them how important it is to follow up with their provider.
