Sharon ensures her patients' care is managed properly and goes the extra mile to clarify anything to ensure a smooth transition home.
As a practitioner at FMC I rely heavily on the nursing staff. I have a feeling of peace and comfort when Sharon is working. As one of the charge nurses on Med Tele she is amazing. She is always proactive in getting my patients discharged. She calls me directly to get what is needed accomplished and I know she does this with other doctors as well. Sharon ensures her patients' care is managed properly and goes the extra mile to clarify anything to ensure a smooth transition home.
There are many stories or examples I can share to emphasize that Sharon is a DAISY Nurse. Sharon’s shining moment is how she has been with FMC during the highs and lows of COVID. I see her working with the other Med Tele nurses in the trenches helping however she can. I spend a lot of time on the units during my rounds and there is one situation that stands out to me.
One day the nurses were in the nursing station complaining about how unhappy they were with their assignment having too many COIVD patients and they were leaving. Sharon stepped up and encouraged them by saying we are here for the patients and things will get better. She told them to remember the days when staffing was better and to take it one day at a time. Sharon has been at FMC through thick and thin and is one of the Rock stars on Med Tele. Sharon is a DAISY!
