I want to extend my deep appreciation for the care that Night Nurse Sharon provided for my daughter P night after night here on the Med/Surg floor at Mary Bridge. When we arrived here at the hospital, P was very sick and we were feeling hopeless, exhausted, and terrified. Nurse Sharon immediately came in, and with all of the poise and understanding in the world, bonded with P, made her feel safe, at ease, and as happy as a sick kid could be. At the same time, she provided me reassurance, knowledge, and kindness during what has been the scariest time in my life as a parent. It was very clear early on between tests and examinations that Sharon is beyond intuitive when it comes to what she does with individual kids and their families, addressing their needs and based on that, personalizing the delivery of care to meet those specific needs. In addition, she checked on P regularly, communicated clearly and often with any updates, answered any and all questions I had, was beyond professional and caring, and made this experience the best that it could be. I just wanted to make sure to let you know that she is not only a DAISY Nurse but just how wonderful she truly is and how she has changed our lives for the better through the highest level of care and her expertise.
