“One of our patients had open heart surgery and a very rocky recovery. She has no family members and told us that her beloved pup had been boarded at a vet clinic prior to her admission. The patient had become somewhat confused at times and had been on and off the ventilator. She knew her pup was being boarded, but couldn’t remember where. Sharon took them time to call all the vet clinics in the patient’s area, eventually found the pup, spoke with the vet and told him the story. She was then able to tell the patient that her pup was safe and being well cared for!”
