Last year I was very ill and had a flare up tonight. I was in horrible pain. Shawna treated me like her own family. She is so amazing. I feel like all the staff was over and above the expected standard, but Shawna made me feel safe and comfortable in all ways. You can tell she loves being a nurse and loves her patients. She and her amazing care was my silver lining in a very painful night.

Working in the Emergency Room, I've seen some amazing care from all of our staff, but Shawna stands out to me. She is always the first one in the room of a critical patient and the last one out. I have had the pleasure of having her as a nurse as a patient, and she has made me feel comfortable and valuable. Shawna takes on a lot of commitments outside of her work and no matter how tired she is or how she feels she is always 100% selfless and focuses on making her patient the biggest priority. I appreciate everything she has taught me as an aspiring nurse and everything she brings to the table when the going gets tough. She is caring and compassionate for those who need it most.
