My nephew came out to help, and a Nurse, Sheba, a couple of houses down, heard the 911 call and came running towards my house.
My husband has a seizure in his SUV on the passenger side. He has Parkinson’s disease, among other health issues, and he is 80 years old. It all happened so quickly around 8 PM. I called 911 – Nothing happened. My fault – I didn’t “send” the number. My nephew came out to help, and a Nurse, Sheba, a couple of houses down, heard the 911 call and came running towards my house. The paramedics got him out and on their way to Adams Memorial. Sheba offered to drive me to the hospital but first recommended I take his medication/medicine list with us. But she didn’t have to help. Even after we arrived at Adams Hospital in the ER department, she would not leave me until my daughter arrived. That was one and a half hours. “But she didn’t have to.” She even called my daughter several times to let her know what was happening. “But she didn’t have to.” And she also came to his room the next day to cheer on him. “But she didn’t have to.” What a great nurse.
