I have worked with Sheila for many years from a somewhat different role. I am not a nurse, so I have a slightly different perspective. I am the OB/GYN office manager and assistant to the Chair of the Department of OB/GYN. I have worked with Sheila on many departmental issues and have sat with her at committee meetings. I have seen firsthand her incredible professionalism. She is a consummate leader. She has the enviable ability to multi-task several different projects at once and be on top of each. You may ask her for information on a specific topic at any time of the day. She is able to give it to you right then and there. She does not need to refer to files. She is on top of her game at all times.
Sheila has a very positive attitude. There have been many issues that arise in the department. She takes everything in stride and does her very best always. There have been periods of time where she has had no administrative assistance. She never complains. She does it all.
Sheila cares greatly about our patients. I attend the Perinatal Review Committee Meetings with her and she continuously tries to implement protocols to improve the quality and safety of our patients and their experience at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. She is also very loyal to the nursing staff along with Saint Barnabas Medical Center and promotes our vision of nursing excellence.
Her ethical behavior is beyond reproach and she sets a great example. She is an excellent role model for the nursing staff and leads by example. In my opinion, she emulates an outstanding commitment to what she does every day.
