These two nurses are amazing and compassionate nurses that I am so proud to call my colleagues and friends. These two nurses found out that a very sick young man that has been in our ICU for some time was sleeping on the floor of his apartment. He shared this apartment with family members. Prior to his discharge, Sylvia and Shelly orchestrated a donation drive for this family and had their family members pick up and deliver the donated furniture. They also collected a monetary donation for home supplies. This was an above-and-beyond act of kindness. The young man that was blessed by these two nurses, although he was well enough to go home, has a long road to go with his illness. This act of kindness just made his road a little bit easier.
