My aunt, who is 87 and has dementia, received an emergency colostomy at the JFK hospital in Atlantis FL. Sheryl was suggested by the colorectal surgeon, Dr. Rey. She has been a god send. She’s helped with training the caregiver. She’s been so friendly, positive and helpful; I can’t say enough good things about her. She is a beacon in what is an otherwise dark existence. She is the absolute best.
I recently had a scare — so worried about my aunt’s care and her skin health. Sheryl made time for us in her schedule and took a look at the stoma reassured me that we were on track and took a world of worry off my shoulders. Anyone that knows her must know how wonderful she is and I am so glad to have encountered her. She’s a true gem. A shining star. She was so patient and explained everything and helped us with trouble shooting the colostomy bags.
