My husband had gamma knife surgery twice in the past six months. Sonja was our nurse each time. She was very kind to my husband. She made him feel calm and explained everything extensively so that he was aware of everything step-by-step. Sonja took excellent care of my husband, but she really took the best care of me! I was so nervous and scared and she took me to the side and gave me a hug and told me a story that helped my nerves.
So, the second time I wasn't as emotionally upset but was even more scared and once again, Sonja took the time to take me to the side to make sure I was okay before I left and once again told me a story about frogs! It made me feel so much better! She is just extraordinary and goes the extra mile to make her patients feel cared for. She even called us at home to make sure we were both doing okay. She is very special and will remember her always. We love Sonja!
