I have had the pleasure of working alongside, following or passing my patients onto Sruti for approximately 9 years. Sruti is the type of nurse that others look to for guidance, serves as a resource for all members of the L&D team, is often in charge, is well respected by all members of the New Life Center staff, orients several new nurses, new to L&D nurses and precepts many senior nursing students. Sruti demonstrates why she is so special over and over. Sruti is a stellar role model to us all. She always does the right thing for her patients, sometimes at the sacrifice of herself and time away from her family. She helps educate new mothers and women of all gestational ages in OB triage. She is well respected among physicians, anesthesia and the nursing staff. I have seen Sruti provide the most amazing comfort to patients who have suffered the loss of a pregnancy and they often write to her and keep in contact with her. She is a tough act to follow and I feel honored to be her co-worker.

Sruti is an amazing nurse. I cannot share just one story of why she is so special, because each and every shift she gives 100% to not only her patients but this unit and her coworkers. Sruti works closely with her patients and their families to ensure they receive the best care. She can be the most energetic labor coach, cheering her patient on past her point of exhaustion to a successful delivery, and in the next hour be the strong quiet support to a family receiving a devastating diagnosis. She is a role model to all nurses on the unit. She exemplifies what it means to be a labor and delivery nurse. A group of nurses in the department coined the term "that is so Sruti of you", this term is an inside joke meaning that person, regardless of how busy they are, will stop and offer to help in any way they can. No matter how crazy the day or situation, I will always feel better when Sruti is on the unit.

Sruti is an incredible nurse. Here on L&D, she serves as everyone's go-to girl! She is extremely intelligent and very resourceful for both nursing staff and physicians. Her patients are always very thankful for her expertise and her compassionate heart. Sruti has worked on labor and delivery for many years. Her years of experience have enriched her skill set and competence yet she is never one to show arrogance or "know it all" behavior. She is willing to help anyone and everyone and is a true asset to our unit and hospital.

Sruti is a hard working consistent team player on our unit. Always calm and controlled in an emergent situation, she works quickly and efficiently in collaboration with other members of our medical team to keep mom and baby safe. She is one of the first to jump in and help a nurse admit a patient, and one of the last to clock out, ensuring all of her coworkers are caught up on their patients. It is a privilege to work with such a dedicated caregiver.
