My wife and I were on vacation here in Las Vegas, and she was admitted here for cellulitis and sepsis. We were very concerned about her condition. A nurse on the unit recommended that we speak with our PCC, Stacy Ferguson, because she could help coordinate her care.

Stacy was outstanding. She spent a great deal of time talking with us about our concerns. She contacted the medical staff working with us. She attended meetings with us and our medical staff, and she had some wonderful ideas.

Within a day of our contacting Stacy, my wife had a surgery consult for her infected foot and a second opinion consult for her infection. My wife was scheduled for foot surgery the next day. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with how much effort Stacy made in our behalf.

I have worked in the medical field as a social worker for 35 years, and I have never been as impressed as I was with Stacy Ferguson. She was so very respectful of our concerns and feelings. She really promotes care excellence. She made sure that all of our concerns were addressed. She was pivotal in coordinating my wife's medical care, and had so many excellent ideas. She is able to get things done.

I cannot imagine any one being more worthy to receive the DAISY Award than Stacy.
