I have been in Christiana Care over 50 times since 1988 following removal of a pituitary adenoma. This rare condition results in life threatening crises that come on suddenly and it is a condition most medical personnel do not fully understand, especially the lack of adrenaline production and diabetis insipidus (not sugar diabetes).
Stefanie was my RN once I was placed in exam room and she was quick to check my conditions and involve any needed physician consults. I was severely dehydrated and she was able to not only get the needed IV fluids I started, but also was successful in gently getting the IV inserted into my collapsed veins, amazing.
She was pleasant, professional, attentive, and answered any technical questions I asked, involving a doctor when needed, and printed out info for my reference.
I arrive in your ER not only very sick, but very frightened that I won't get the proper care quickly enough. Stefanie was amazing in reducing my anxiety, explaining what was scheduled for me, and one of the best nurses I've ever had.
