My son was a patient here in 2015. His nurse was Stefanie Hayes. She was great with his treatments and care and also very understanding when it came to our feelings and concerns. She went beyond her duties to make us feel that our son was in the best hands. Stefanie is so great - my 14-year-old daughter was graduating 8th grade and I didn't want to go because I didn't want to leave my son. Stefanie reassured me that she would make sure he was OK and encouraged me to go and be with my daughter on her special day. It felt great to go, knowing my son was in good hands.
When we were back in 2016, I asked if Stefanie could be our nurse but was told she was off. The next day, Stefanie was our nurse and we were so happy. Stefanie Hayes, in our eyes, is the perfect nurse. Any parent would love to have her care for their child. She is great with our son and his care and she has the best interest in our feelings and concerns. This is why we feel she deserves The DAISY Award.
