My husband was with our baby and was also at a loss for what to do, but Steph was very understanding and compassionate.
Steph was amazing as she cared for our sweet newborn baby while he was in the NICU. I had a C-section that was not planned and immediately after my baby was born, he had to go to the NICU. Everything was so scary as I had just had surgery that wasn’t planned and now my newborn baby was in the NICU. As a first-time mom, I was so scared that I couldn’t see him or do anything for him. My husband was with him and was also at a loss for what to do, but Steph was very understanding and compassionate. She taught my husband how to do the basics with a NICU baby and was always there in case he needed help. She constantly encouraged him and told him what a great job he was doing. Once I was able to go down there to see my baby, I was overwhelmed with everything and thought I wasn’t doing anything right because he had so many tubes and machines connected to him. Steph made me feel so much better and reassured me that I was doing everything I could. She also made sure we were kept up to date with how he was progressing. I don’t know what we would’ve done without her.
