Stephanie is a perfect example of what a nurse should be. Stephanie is our night charge nurse and has always been an excellent leader. She is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, fair, detail oriented, and has excellent bedside manner. Stephanie always manages to go above and beyond for the patient and family members to be comfortable in their new surroundings. No matter how busy Stephanie is, she never hesitates to stop and help out co-workers or teach new employees. She is always professional and organized. Stephanie is a great motivator and team player.
Stephanie is one of the most patient individuals I have ever worked with. She is calm in the midst of situations with patients, family members, or staff. As the charge nurse on the 6am-6pm shift Stephanie takes on whatever is given, whether a free charge with a bunch of admissions or taking patients and charge. Stephanie is so easy going and is helpful in every area of patient care. She jumps in to help a nurse who might be running behind, or a tech who has a heavy load. I am always glad when Stephanie is the charge nurse when I work.
Her calmness that she brings to the workplace is felt by all that are working with Stephanie. Whether working with patients, their families or staff, Stephanie is always very helpful, especially as a charge nurse, she knows how to diffuse tough situations. She never worries about the amount of work that has to be done, just gets it done, even if she has to go to all units to help the staff. I am always so glad when Stephanie is on.
