I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge my coworker whom I have worked with for the past five years and have witnessed his true virtue of commitment as a Team supporter: Mr. Stevens Daphinis. 

Mr. Stevens Daphinis is a Utilization Registered Nurse who has held the role for five years. Mr. Daphinis presents to work each day and exudes an optimistic, confident, and encouraging presence. 

He demonstrates a collaborative manner in which he shares knowledge and is always ready to take the lead to be an effective team player. He is an excellent communicator who diplomatically evaluates a situation and provides supportive facts to bring forth a resolution. He listens and allows for discussion amongst his team members at the same time averting any partiality and creation of conflict due to opposing point of views. You can always count on Mr. Daphinis to mediate fairly. Mr. Daphinis is a team member who is a reliable resource in the capacity of computer navigator, UM, Flow, and Transfer nurse. He is the first to be called when a UM team member requires a buddy to shadow. He has instilled confidence in his team members by being flexible and available to undertake any task without hesitation.  He is astute in his role as a UM nurse and Case manager as he works closely with a diverse team to achieve the end goal of patient and staff satisfaction.

With all the attributes of sincerity, collaboration, and collegiality, Mr. Daphinis remains humble, showing respect and compassion to those whom he encounters. The Utilization Management Team recognizes Mr. Daphinis as an exceptional and valued member of the team. Mr. Daphinis is very liked by his peers, physician team, and associated interdisciplinary team. He is proactive in the management of his patient's needs. I observe Mr. Daphinis as he completes his Interdisciplinary Huddle, he identifies the required needs of the patients and facilitate the discharges through application of case management resource.
