A young patient was brought to the Emergency Department by her two sisters after their father died. Soad (Hero of the story) was the head nurse of ED at that time. She received the patient and her family by an excellent professional manner and she started to build a trustful relationship with the patient and her family. The patient was diagnosed with severe depression with high suicidal risk. the patient has suicidal ideas, anhedonia, severe sadness. She planned to evade from ER, when the medical and Nursing Staff were taking care of another patient. She wanted to harm herself and others. The patient wanted to climb to the roof of the in-patient ward building (three floors). Soad and the patient's sisters rushed to catch up to her; they saw her moved to a dangerous place that is difficult to reach at the border of the building roof. Then she opened her hands and wanted to fly and said, "my father I am coming" (a pre-sign of suicide). At this moment Soad arrived and embraced her, sacrificed by herself regardless of having a four children, without afraid to die for saving patient life. The patient said, "I love you Soad but I am going to my father". Soad replied, "if you will throw yourself I will fall with you, as long as you love me and do not want to harm me, as you wish either will fall together or go back together"!!
Finally, the patient began to recede with Soad in an exceptional scene in the presence of majority of Hospital staff.
After few years, the patient completed her University studies and she on betrothed relation.
The patient's sisters attended the DAISY Award ceremony to say thanks to Soad for saving their sister's life.
