It is hard to find the words to describe what Sumi has done for our grandma and for us. She took the time to explain the many steps, medications, procedures, and so many other things to us. She was so caring, compassionate, and patient with our grandma. She joked around with us and really helped us put meaning into laughter. Laughter is the best medicine. She also took the time to explain things to our grandma and not everyone did that. She continued to check on my grandma and our family every day she worked when grandma was here. She welcomed us with a smile and a “good morning”. We appreciate it so much. What stood out the most for us was how she helped my grandma and us transition into the end of life care. Although it was/has been hard, Sumi made it easier with all her support and care. Her heart is so big and full of love for her patients. She deserves to be recognized for what she did to help us with this part of life.
