Sumi was an exceptional nurse and human being. I had been in the hospital multiple times. I was always so happy to have Sumi as my nurse. She made me feel so comfortable and special. She took such great care of me. She was patient and so kind. She would check in on me even if I didn't call her. She encouraged me through all of my sickness. I have 10 kids and have decided that Sumi is part of my family. She is kid number 11; that is how special she is to me. God bless her.

Nurse Sumi Hancock helped my mother to keep the faith. My mother has been ill for several months and had to be hospitalized. Sumi's smile, positive attitude, and nurturing spirit were a blessing! Sumi was very patient with my mother who is 85 years old. On days when my mom was getting weak and losing her faith, Sumi would come on in and smile, say something positive, and reminded my mother she was there and would take good care of her. My mother has 10 children and she has now adopted Sumi in our family as #11! Hebrews 11:1 states: 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen!' My mother couldn't see past her pain at the time, but Sumi helped her to laugh and to keep the faith and to continue to have hope! Sumi = Special, Uplifting, Marvelous, Inspiring!

Sumi is extremely special. She has a loving spirit and a kind heart. She took great care of my mother. I felt connected with Sumi the very first time I met her. I think that when a person does an exceptional job, they should be recognized. I wanted to make sure that someone knew what a great person you have on your staff. Sumi went above and beyond with taking care of my mom. She did everything for my mom even though she had other patients. She wanted my mother to feel very comfortable. She was the sunshine for my mother on many cloudy days. She gave meds, emptied commodes, and many other things. I am so proud and honored to know Sumi. She is everything that a nurse should be. Being a great nurse takes a special person and Sumi is that person. We will always be grateful to Sumi for her care and compassion.
