Sue is an amazing charge nurse; she is very knowledgeable and is very helpful throughout the night during our surgeries.
From the moment I met Sue, I knew there was something special about her. She is extremely patient and caring and does everything to better the patient experience. Sue exemplifies leadership and the type of leader we should all be. Regardless of her personal issues, Sue comes to work with a positive attitude. She pushes us as individuals and as a team to further our nursing goals and to be our personal best. One of her best qualities is empathy. Whenever I have a problem or issue, I can go to Sue with no fear of rejection or being "busy". Sue exemplifies all the criteria of the DAISY Award. Sue, you define nurse Excellence and should be recognized amongst your peers.

Sue is the overnight charge nurse in the operating room. She goes above and beyond daily in her role. She will stay late, come in early or even work on her days off. She is always available to help her staff and answer any questions. She ensures the operating room patients are always cared for in a timely and safe manner.
***
Sue makes a meaningful difference every time she shows up to work. She is one of the most dedicated nurses I have ever met. She takes such pride in her role at Jefferson and makes sure every one of her job tasks is done thoroughly. She has made sure to train all her night shift staff in the same manner she would do things. Patient safety and treatment are number one for Sue. When any question comes up, Sue always says, "What is best for the patient?"

Sue has been a great charge nurse for years. She has great practice at keeping detailed records. She constantly looks after her team to make them better. She exemplifies a leader by training, teaching, and giving kudos to the workforce she oversees. She cares deeply about her staff and all the patients that come to the OR during her shift. She also takes a lot of shifts to help the OR run effectively even when it is not convenient for herself.

Sue is an amazing charge nurse; she is very knowledgeable and is very helpful throughout the night during our surgeries. Sue always thinks of the patient and her staff first. She is fair with our nightly assignments and makes sure we are all doing well. Sue keeps the operating room running smoothly at night, and this shows in the day shift. The day shift is always prepared due to Sue's excellent work and her staff setting up the day shift for success. Sue is a tremendous team member, and Jefferson should be proud to have her as an employee.

1. Sue constantly holds herself to a higher standard, she is always professional and keeps a cool head in challenging situations. I have seen her several times where difficult situations were handled in a calm manner while steering everything to a simple easy to handle solution. Her many years as a charge shine bright every time a problem needs solving.
2. Sue is a champion for everyone. She wants everyone to succeed. She provides staff with opportunities to improve their skills through room assignments paired with a strong partner. She is not only a charge, but also a counselor, and most of all a role model we all should try to strive to be. We are lucky to have Sue in our hospital as a charge nurse, I can think of nobody else who embodies the philosophy of DAISY Award. Sue truly cares about our patients as well as the staff that works for her.

Sue is the glue to our team and always puts others before herself. She’s been the best charge nurse and is always looking out for you. Her heart is something rare you do not find often in others. The night shift respects her, and the day shift. The prime example of a good leader.
