Susan Clarke has been a pediatric oncology nurse for decades. She has a wealth of knowledge and superior skills in her field. Beyond that, and more importantly to our family, she still has an incredible passion for her job. She treats each and every child with respect, compassion, and enthusiasm. My daughter was diagnosed with ALL and our lives were turned upside down. My daughter quickly developed a lot of trust issues with all the strangers now poking and prodding and doing painful procedures. When we met Sue, she felt an immediate trust and security. We now know this was great intuition on her part, as Sue has proven to be as comforting and encouraging as she is professional and skilled. She has a special bond with my daughter (who calls her mom #2) but she greets each of her patients with a warm smile and kind eyes and is quick to offer open arms when needed. It is rare and invaluable on this journey to feel safe entrusting your child in someone's care. We were able to trust Sue from day one, on every level. We know she pours her whole heart for these kids and she richly deserves to be acknowledged for her years of passion and compassion. She has become a cherished part of our family.
