Susan Fairley-Holbach is one of the most amazing and compassionate nurses I have ever met. She literally ALWAYS goes above and beyond to provide patients with the best care possible. Susan is the mother of the Mother Standard to each and every patient she works with and touches each of their hearts in a special and unique way.

We had a patient that was a former surgical patient and had become a DNR and was on our floor. Susan constantly gave this patient not only visits daily, but stayed with her and talked with her and her family. Susan went out of her way to provide this patient not only with special food and beverages she wanted, but assisted with helping to plan this patient's son's wedding so that his mother could be there before she passed.

This event took place a few years ago but it is something I would never forget. Susan deserves this award for not only the wonderful nurse that she is, but the wonderful person she is.
