For Sue, this isn't a job, it's her passion. Sue doesn't make you feel like a patient but rather family. I spent 1 month in the antepartum unit and I always looked forward to the days she was there. She catered to me, making sure I had the "best" room or getting the wireless NST monitors for my comfort. She cared about my emotional well-being and was always truly interested in how I was.
Even now, 6 weeks since being her patient, she cares. Sue visits me on the NICU side. Checks in to make sure my babies are okay but that I'm okay too. She is an amazing nurse and goes above and beyond, not because she has to, but she wants to. It's apparent she loves what she does, and all her patients benefit because of that. She will always hold a special place in my heart. She made a difficult situation much more bearable.
