Suzanne Carpenter has received multiple DAISY Nominations from staff and families within the facility for always being there and able to help visitors, family, and staff with any issues. She remains calm in all scenarios and supports staff and physicians during trying times.
She wears many hats in our facility and while wearing one outside of her RN duties, she came upon a family that was dealing with the grieving process. She listened to them as they verbalized their grief and felt they needed something to help with this devastation. They had recently suffered a fetal loss and needed an OR procedure, Suzanne listened and took it upon herself to go to the laboratory to see if she could retrieve footprints. She was able to get a small set and went up to labor and delivery to get a bereavement box. She then went back to the OR to give the family their memory box. She has made an everlasting impression on this family and truly represents the DAISY Culture.
