Suzette Cabal is the epitome of Memorial C.A.R.E. (Care, Attitude, Respect, Enthusiasm) Mission Statement in the capacity of the Registered Nurse. From the moment Suzette became a part of the Memorial Healthcare System, particularly 2 Central, her professionalism is undoubtedly exemplary. Suzette is a leader, and as such she works both as a staff nurse and a Charge Nurse. As a staff nurse, Suzette is always willing to share her knowledge with not only her peers and co-workers, but also students who intern at the facility. She is always willing to explain not only the purpose of a particular situation (a test), but the rationale for it. Suzette is always willing and eager to assist others including her peers, co-workers, patients, family members, and visitors, and what stands out, is her patience and composure no matter the ordeal, not letting anything to get the better of her, and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty for the sake of her patients. As a charge nurse, her goal is to make sure the floor runs efficiently and effectively for both staff and patients, creating that healing atmosphere.

Suzette is compassionate and recognizes everyone as a whole; mind, body and spirit and demonstrates empathy and a caring attitude that goes above and beyond her call of duty. Never afraid to tackle any task, Suzette remains steadfast in adhering to the oath to be faithful and committed to her profession (the Florence Nightingale Pledge). Suzette is without a hesitation a beautiful asset to the Memorial Healthcare Family and is so deserving of the DAISY Award.
