Sydea went above and beyond with coordinating a patient’s medication prescription when their daughter called in and shared that they were in pain. Sydea called the pharmacy where the initial e-prescription was sent, identified that there was an issue with the receipt of said e-prescription, coordinated with the attending physician, and got a physical prescription for the patient to be able to fill. The daughter expressed to Sydea that she wouldn’t be able to fill the prescription due to the drive to the hospital and traffic, so Sydea elected to drop it off at the patient’s house after her shift. She went above and beyond to ensure that a patient issue is addressed, even after discharge.
