Tabitha came in to do the admission interview with my mother after my mom was admitted from the ER for MS complications. Tabitha was very thorough, but the main reason for writing this is how she physically interacted with my mom. She was very aware of my mom's difficulty communicating, so she stopped typing in EPIC to crouch down next to the bed where they could make eye contact. Despite the rambling, somewhat disoriented conversation, Tabitha made my mom - and me - feel like everything my mom said mattered (even when it didn't have any relevance) and that she cared about the whole patient not just her vitals.
