I have spent many days and weeks in the hospital and have had my fair share of nurses.  Most have been good luckily.  I have had a handful of exceptional ones.  These are the few that stay with you forever.  Tanya is one of those nurses that you don’t forget.  She is the type of nurse you want to care for your loved ones.  Lucky for me she was my nurse and fabulous at that. 

I only had the pleasure of having her for one night but that was all it took for me to see what a wonderful nurse she is and what an amazing job she does.  Tanya was very kind and caring.  She always had a smile on her face and right there shows how sweet and genuine she is.  In the short time that she was my nurse, she provided me with excellent care.  She always made sure I had everything I needed and never left the bedside without asking if there was anything else.  She went above and beyond to make me feel like her only patient while juggling her whole assignment.  She was always prompt when I needed something or rang my bell, her time management skills and prioritizing what needs her attention first seemed to come so naturally to her.  

Tanya really was an extraordinary caregiver.  She is a newer nurse but cared for me like a seasoned veteran.  One thing I know for sure is the world needs more nurses like Tanya.  She is in a class above the rest.  Tanya was a blessing to me; I’m sure she is a blessing to 3West and to The Miriam Hospital group as a whole.  Her care will touch many people during her career and that’s a wonderful thing.
