I came in through the Emergency room thinking I was passing a kidney stone. I was assessed and told that I have an enlarged spleen and that I have enlarged lymph nodes in my stomach, uterus, and bowels. I was admitted into 6R and I am awaiting a biopsy and receiving pain control. The “c” word has been the topic of the week. Tara became my favorite night time RN. Nights are the worst!!  It seems to escalate at night.

I was lying in bed crying, and she touched my arm and told me, “Everything is going to be ok, K. I am going to help you get through this night, and I will be your advocate to get your pain under control."  Tara was the empathetic friend I needed and she gave me great comfort and support when I needed it the most.  She is so sweet and uplifting. Quick to go the extra mile and get me whatever I need to be comfortable. Very professional and keyword ‘uplifting.’ I am grateful to God, he gave me her to get me through the night.
