One of my absolute favorite units in Obstetrics and the reason for this is not just the cute little babies but the fact that the staff are so wonderful, and they all genuinely work well together. There is one person who stands out to me, and that is Tara Cicchetti, RN,BSN. She is so driven and cares about what she does. It’s not just a job to her but it’s a part of her. She comes into work and is ready to face whatever comes her way. She is the most selfless person and really goes above and beyond for her patients and even for her coworkers, not only in how she approaches things in just a caring and soft manner but she’s very good with her words and makes you think about things in a different light. She has the ability to take away the fears and anxiety of what could be a difficult situation. And if there was ever a time when someone felt alone, I know that she would step right in, be by their side the whole time, and make sure they were taken care of. If there is one person that is so deserving of this award it would be her! And maybe I’m a little biased because she is my mom, but I really wouldn’t choose anyone else! And I think a lot of other people can agree with me on how amazing she is!
