Tara is consistently demonstrating the love she has for people and excels in interpersonal communications. We have a patient on our floor that has spent most of her life in and out of hospitals. For this admission our patient has been here for over a month and has become part of our family. Tara has built a special bond with our patient and whenever she works, she will take time out of her busy schedule to spend quality time with our patient. Tara takes the time to truly listen and find out what is important to her. One day I saw Tara coming in with a big bag of items. Tara told me the story of how much our patient liked making beads for other people so the bag contained all sorts of jewelry making kits along with other items that our patient shared with Tara about things she likes. Tara had a story for each item she brought in to give and spent her own money to do it special for her. Not only did Tara buy things to help pass the patient's time, she called the laundry to get special gowns that would fit the size of a pediatric patient, even though the patient was not under her care. Tara is always doing nice things for her patients but this one patient has truly found her angel in Tara.
