It's a cliché for sure, but there should be a mold for nurses like her, as this world needs many more like her.
My wife spent her final days at the Hospice House. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and had a positive impact on all who met her. She left us way too young after a battle with Cancer. The RN connected with her and genuinely sensed her beautiful personality, and it seemed to be an instant connection. The RN was instrumental in easing our pain, mine specifically, as we had conversations that would have normally been reserved for 40+ year friends. It's a cliché for sure, but there should be a mold for nurses like her, as this world needs many more like her. My wife was at ease and, in her final days, whispered to me, " if there is anything we can do for these angels, please do what we can." I have no doubt this was a result of her connection with the RN and the ability to face her final days with a sense of comfort. My wife's vibrant smile and personality attracted many to her, and she had countless friends. Most came to celebrate her life, five months after she passed. They, along with strangers, also came to honor her wish of giving back to these angels. We were able to deliver a check to the Hospice House last week, and no doubt, my wife was shining down on all of us. Her final days were at peace; this, along with the donation accepted, was a direct result of this RN. There were others for sure, but this one stood out amongst her peers and will forever be in our family's thoughts. Thank you for considering this RN for this recognition; well deserved.
