My husband was a patient in the ICU at Miami Valley for about 2 weeks. They moved him to the Head & Neck Surgery unit. I was nervous about the move as my husband still needed a lot of care. At first, he wasn’t even Taylor’s patient, but she jumped in to help her co-worker so she wouldn’t be overwhelmed. She took extraordinary care of him all day, even helped hold his hand and calm him down when he had to have teeth extracted. She kept me updated on upcoming procedures and helped me calm down and not be nervous. She was never late on his meds and came anytime I pushed the button. She showed me nothing but compassion and respect during one of the worst times of my life.

I was the team lead. I had an act call for another patient on the unit. Taylor came down and gave meds to two of my people. She then asked if she could take my patient, who was too heavy for my team, as team lead and gave me their easier one. She was so thoughtful and didn’t need to do what she did, but I am so grateful that she did. Taylor is amazing, and I adore her so much.
