Taylor was so excited the next day when she brought in a Birthday banner, ribbon, cups, and napkins. And, to my surprise, a piece of cake.
It has likely been said time and time again that the nurses and the entire staff on 8A are nothing short of amazing. They all deserve credit for coming to work with positive attitudes and so much compassion in their hearts. As a newly diagnosed cancer patient, I have spent several weeks on the floor. My last stay resulted from a fever between treatments. Our stay also included a day that fell on my husband’s birthday. I asked Taylor if they had any old decorations around so I could surprise him the next morning. She wasn’t able to find any on the floor. She was so excited the next day when she brought in a Birthday banner, ribbon, cups, and napkins. And, to my surprise, a piece of cake. My husband was, to say the very least, surprised and flattered that she went out of her way to make this day special for both of us. This will be a celebration that we will remember dearly. Thank you, Taylor, for sprinkling some of your kindness into our lives. Forever Grateful!
