Three weeks ago, I ended up in OB triage with severe pre-eclampsia at 34 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were scared and anxious and had no idea what to expect, but Taylor Gonzales was a calming and reassuring presence for my family and me while we navigated the next steps. My provider decided it was best to go ahead and induce me for the safety of myself and my son. Taylor thoroughly educated us on what to expect and continued reassuring us during the process. We were fortunate enough to continue to have her support during the entire labor process, and when it came time to deliver, she was there, coaching me the whole way and offering the same support to my family. After delivery, the unit got very busy with deliveries, but Taylor prioritized accompanying us to the NICU to get some time with our sweet boy. I could not have chosen a better nurse to have by my side. She offered words of encouragement when I questioned my strength, she offered education when questions arose, and she constantly provided compassion. Her consistent presence made my complicated delivery less scary, and we will forever be grateful for her. She is a great asset to Boone Health and the nursing field.
