Teresa House serves in the capacity as the Forensic 2-day shift Charge Nurse. As humble as she is, both competent and compassionate, she is an outstanding nurse in the delivery of patient care. Teresa exemplifies the highest level of commitment, clinical practice, and leadership. To better serve our individuals, Teresa obtained her certification as a Mental Health Nurse. She is very open minded and approachable, making it easy for the patients to express their concerns. I have personally witnessed several interactions between her and her patients. She greets each patient with a smile and does her best to always make them feel at ease. She ensures that her patients are comfortable, and advocates for them when they are unable to do so. Teresa genuinely loves what she does, and it shows through her enthusiasm to educate her patients in a way that makes them feel accomplished and competent. She has a wonderful bedside manner, and it shows through the compliments that her patients give her. She is not only an advocate for patients but for her coworkers as well. Through her excellent example and generous nature, Teresa makes us all better clinicians and is a source of strength for our team. She is a stunning example of what the nursing profession values, and I am honored to work alongside her.
