I have many stories over the years how Terri has demonstrated her extensive knowledge and her depth of compassion for her patients, their families and the staff here in the ED. The most recent was when, tragically, a teenager had an unexpected death. Terri assisted in the resuscitation effort, as she has done on many occasions, and then shifted gears to helping the family understand the death and supported them in their grieving. She always seems to know what to say when it counts most to help people find peace or a connection or express themselves. I am sure it may have been difficult for her as she has her own teenagers, but that never showed. All that showed is that she knew how to show her concern for this family. She exemplifies the best of our profession and how we help people in their worst of times.
