Terry was coming home from Leavenworth when she came upon cars pulled off the road. There was a man sitting alongside the road, bleeding heavily. He had been bitten by a pit bull in the neck and chin. His chin was dangling away from his jaw and he was bleeding from his neck. He whispered, “Am I going to die?” Terry said, “Not on my watch!” Without gloves, she held pressure with a towel on his wounds for 20-30 minutes until the EMT’s got there. Without her heroics, I am not sure he would have survived.

When she arrived, everyone was just standing there doing nothing. Terry took charge. There was a woman who also had an injury. Terry instructed the people around her on what needed to be done to help her. It is truly an honor to work with a nurse like Terry! Terry is this way with how she provides patient care. All of her patients LOVE her!
