We want to recognize Terry, not only because of his heartwarming sense of humor but also because he holds the I CARE principles.
INTEGRITY- Terry has the ability to gain and maintain trust with his patients. This shows through the care he provides and the way in which his patients talk about his compassion. He has earned and maintains the respect and confidence of both employees and patients that he will follow through on concerns.
COMMITMENT- He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are cared for. This includes making frequent calls to patients, calling staff and/or patients after hours or on his day out of the office, engaging his entire PAT and in turn, being exceptionally grateful and appreciative of his coworkers.
ADVOCACY- The patient's well-being is at the heart of his practice. He frequently calls and goes directly to other clinics in the hospital to make sure concerns are properly communicated to the proper department. He will then follow and track the patient's progress continually involving others to make sure every one of his patients gets the absolute best care possible.
RESPECT- He is respectful not only to his patient but to other staff. Terry truly provides the same exceptional care to every one of his veterans regardless of circumstance. He sees every employee in the medical center as important and can frequently be seen thanking the staff for doing the most basic of their essential duties.
EXCELLENCE- Terry is a true model of the I CARE principles. He does not settle for mediocrity. Even when nearing retirement, he continues to put in a wholehearted effort to serve his patients as best he can. Terry's work ethic, heart, and passion will be missed. We are forever grateful that we've had the opportunity to work with and learn from him.
