Theresa Antes took care of our mother, J, at home. She had a fall, was taken to the hospital, and was kept overnight. Theresa was her nurse at home. What an angel! She took such excellent care of Mom and was so caring and companionate. Theresa treated her with dignity and respect. My mother is 91 with the start of dementia and Theresa had a calming effect on her. She explained everything to her step by step and spoke directly to her. Nurses are overwhelmed at times and it's different with the elderly, but Theresa never made her feel uncomfortable or feel like she was a problem. I want Theresa to know how much she was appreciated and to be recognized, not only as a nurse but the beautiful person she is inside and out. She is truly one of Gods angels.

I meet a lot of nurses. Theresa was more than was needed: always had the proper advice and support, always smiled, and was my anchor.
***
Theresa is an exceptional nurse and a credit to her profession. She is so kind and sweet and really enjoys her work. You can see that just looking at her. Anyone who gets her assigned to them is very fortunate because she gives her all and is a special "angel".

"There is no specific situation to describe Theresa. All 5 days she was here were special. Always on time. Great smile. When she discussed my situation, it was easy to understand, and she showed a glowing concern for my situation. I only wish I was still sick, so I can still see her smiling face at my door."
Thankfully, the patient above did see Theresa again as noted in the letter below:
"This wonderful nurse, Theresa, not only is she professional, compassionate, and caring, she is also helpful with my Mom who has dementia, giving me tips and guidance on how to handle my mom's agitation and anxiety. After her visit, Theresa was going to check on a patient that she had taken care of months ago, just paying a friendly visit.
It was down the street from my Mom. After several knocks on the door, Theresa opened the door and found the man unconscious. She immediately checked his vital signs and his sugar (he is diabetic). After giving him some honey and calling 9-1-1, the patient was helped. If Theresa was not there that day, this man would have died. Thank goodness for nurses like Theresa- such a wonderful nurse, person, and friend. Please acknowledge her wonderful action on saving a life. Your organization should be proud to have her on your staff. "
