We all loved Theresa. I have been an RN for 22 years and it was so refreshing to see a nurse who's been one since 1973, who is still filled with spunk and compassion! She was an excellent teacher to all of us. She came in on her night shift full of energy and a great plan of care. I loved that she explained every detail of what and why she was doing what she was doing. She was awesome at anticipating my child's needs. She was also very flexible and a great advocate for managing his pain. Her experience was definitely beneficial to my son as well as us, his parents. Though I am also a nurse, pectus excavatum is not my specialty, and being "mom" was my number one role at that time. My husband and I were able to get some rest knowing that Theresa was on all night. Normally I would have just stayed awake to make sure he was being taken care of, but I trusted Theresa 100% with my most prized possession. My son and I wanted to make sure she knows just how wonderful we think she is. Thank you, Theresa, from the bottom of our hearts.
