Theresa is the reason H requested Ballard to continue her herceptin infusions when we could have stayed much closer to home.
How fortunate we were to have Theresa care for H after her cancer diagnosis.
Theresa's love for her job flows through to the patients she cares for. From the first day we met her, Theresa put us at ease with her easygoing and welcoming demeanor. She is a true professional with just the right blend of compassion and expertise that gives you a feeling of welcome while instilling the confidence that you are in capable hands.
When H's skin reacted adversely to the numbing creme around her port, Theresa quickly identified the issue and switched to an alternative spray that immediately returned H's skin to normal. When H decided to use the cooling cap, Theresa dedicated herself to learning all the complex steps necessary to ensure it was assembled and hooked up correctly. It was not an easy process! But she mastered it quickly and shared her newly acquired skill with the team so they could leverage it in the future to preserve patient dignity.
Theresa's years of experience shine through in the ways she listens with empathy, anticipates needs before alarms sound, and genuinely cares. Theresa is the reason H requested Ballard to continue her herceptin infusions when we could have stayed much closer to home. This award was crafted for her.
