To pinpoint or isolate just one outstanding performance is not possible as Thomas Hubach consistently excels beyond job performance with an attitude that shows it is coming from his heart, not just a sense of responsibility to his job. His professionalism, compassion, bedside mannerisms, and demonstration of knowledge and skill were very apparent as he consistently went the extra mile for my care, with a desire to do all that he could, and do it right.
One example of Tom's integrity was noted the day of my late check-out in which he stayed much later than seven o'clock, worked diligently in obtaining my prescriptions close by the hospital, knowing we were 500 miles from home. He was also diligent in gathering all the reports needed for my doctors back home.
Even that late, Tom made sure I was going to have dinner and then offered to take us to our car after obtaining a wheelchair. More important was his compassion and gentle spirit as he administered IVs and meds and tended to my needs. To be noted was his conscientious effort of cleanliness to prevent infection. It could be said that Tom does his job with heart.
