As soon as she found out, she was on board, ready and willing to do anything to help save my life.
This nurse, has blessed me with care so far above and beyond anything ever imagined. Our initial encounter was wonderful, but I wouldn’t classify it as something she does differently than for any other patient. It’s what occurred later that brought tears to our eyes.
I had a baby, and this is where I had met her and was greeted by her in the unit. From even that short encounter, she left an impression.
On a later date, I was readmitted to Del Webb due to a very severe internal infection. I was clearly not going to be treated in the same unit, but I was sending breast milk down to the unit, and she recognized my husband and was instantly concerned as to why he was there. As soon as she found out, she was on board, ready and willing to do anything to help save my life. She made sure we had everything we needed for the baby but even beyond that, she began asking so many questions about my symptoms and plan of action.
She became my biggest advocate right before my eyes. She went as far as to offer her free time to help me take a shower. This was care beyond any other nurse we had encountered, and 99% were amazing also! I am forever grateful for her and for her genuineness.
Anyone can be nice, and any nurse can administer medication and patient care with a smile. But, to know and feel it’s coming from her heart at a level I’ve never seen is one in a million.
